The Simplest Things

"I find relaxation, enjoyment, and healing in the simplest things in life."

Sometimes I am certain that I freak my children out. They are both going through a lot of physical changes right now and I find myself constantly wanting to just look at them. I want to take in all the beautiful changes that are happening to them. I want to look into their eyes and connect with them and let them know that I am here for them even as they are becoming more independent. I want them to see in my eyes the beauty I see in them each time I look at them. They are both just so beautiful I can't keep my eyes off them!

Here is Sophia in her new birthday dress from Grandma JoVeta from her favorite online store Soul Flower.

And here is Alexander. The last few weeks he has started doing some fun things with his hair.

  1. I LOVE Sophia's dress!!! I have always been in love with clothes with different fabric combos. I like Alexander's new hairstyle too. I can see his eyes....I never noticed how nice they were before. Children are amazing and it's fun to be able to capture so much!!

  2. I do the same thing with my kids and they already think I'm a little nutty. My oldest will be 19 in September and it feels like it was just yesterday that he was toddling around. I just want to drink in all that they are before they have taken flight on their own journey.

  3. Wow Sophia is growing into a little lady. I love that new haircut on her and the dress is so nice. I find myself watching the kids noticing how different their bodies are from just a year ago or how different their faces look. Its hard watching them become children to young adults over night. I just want to look at them and hold every single second in of their beautiful faces, bodies. I could live without the attitude changes though. Now I look at Jessica and think what a beautiful woman she is and soon my other two will be like that too.
