Feeling Lost

Last Tuesday I felt wonderful and I was glad I could share it here. I had almost a whole day of feeling free! Unfortunately by that evening things had turned for the worse and have only improved slightly. When I have a day that every joint in my body hurts and my family can barely touch me because it hurts so much, I can handle it. But when that day turns to a week, I find my mind battling itself on what path to take next. I feel lost during these times.

  1. We found you, we love you and we all want to help you through this! I so wish I lived close to you so I could help you and be able to spend more time with you. Your going to get through this because you are such a strong woman with a positive attitude.

Love you!! Cyber hugs don't hurt so I'll send lots of them to you!

  2. Cathy, I wish we had a RA Support group or something that could meet without the limitations of time and place. wouldn't that be wonderful!
When I seem stuck in my disease, and I'm not making progress for the better, I shift my focus to other areas of my life and try to make progress there. This tends to create energy and forward movement in every aspect of my life. You know the saying, fix it and forget about it, or something like that...
Go work on other areas of your life...career, spirituality, creativity, finance, etc. And let the energy you create pull you out of this flare!

  3. I'm so sorry you're hurting so badly right now, Cathy. It's demoralizing, I know, to work so diligently at taking care of yourself only to be hit with a hard, long-lasting flare. I know you're doing everything you can to relieve your pain, so I won't make suggestions (I'm sure you already know the routine). But please know that I'm thinking of you, care about you and am sending all the calm, courage and strength your way that I can. And like Sherry said, cyber hugs don't hurt. So here's a whole lot of them for you...

  4. Sometimes I think it's ok to feel lost. I mean seriously to quote my 'wonderful surgeon' RA Sucks!

But if we didn't have the hard times we wouldn't be able to know when we have good times. I think that's the difference between people with a chronic illness and not. We are much more aware of ourselves and our environment.

I'm sorry that you have been flaring for a week and I hope that you find this is just a temporary bump in the road.

    ((hugs)) my friend..
