I grew u...Hi Cathy: Thank you for a wonderful post. I grew up in an immigrant-rich atmosphere and, as a result, learned to appreciate many cultures (and lots of great food!). In Dallas, we are about 35% Hispanic, but it's not as integrated as you might imagine. We still struggle. There are an estimated 65 different languages spoken in Dallas public schools, so the culture opportunities are there if we will just explore them.
