My always supportive friend Debbie at The Gluten Free 'Dish' sent this video to me. If you live with chronic illness, you will completely relate to the spoon theory. If you don't live with chronic illness, this may help you to understand that even though we don't "appear" to look sick, we are often juggling our spoons throughout the day.
Interesting that you should post this. My daughter posted it on her blog just recently. She has a host of medical problems, including the little heard of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. The spoon theory is an interesting, but effective way, to describe the pain many people are suffering on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteAnnie,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about your daughter. I just read a little about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It must be a bit scary to have something that not many of us have heard of before. Yay for your daughter for having someone like you to support her. I wish her the best of luck.
